You're Invited - Sign Standards meeting 2-13-17

Post date: Feb 6, 2017 6:32:00 AM

Dear Shingle Springs residents and rural lifestyle supporters,

The Cameron Park Design Review Committee (CPDRC), has been working on a draft of the Cameron Park Sign Standards. The committee recently issued a Press Release inviting the public to receive a presentation on the draft on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Cameron Park Community Center located at 2502 Country Club Drive.

A copy of the Press Release is available here: https://www.edcgov.us/Government/Planning/CPagendas/2017/20170104_Press_Release_CPDR_Draft_Sign_Standards_Public_Review.aspx

We encourage you to attend the meeting to support their community efforts and to see how the Cameron Park Sign Standards will differ from the County Sign Standards. As we renew our endeavor for a Shingle Springs Community Plan, we may want to incorporate some or all of the Cameron Park Sign Standards into our own Plan.

If you would like an advance PDF copy of the Cameron Park Sign Standards prior to the meeting, please email Committee Chair, Vince Maloney, at vkmaloney@gmail.com.

SAN STINO'S MILL CREEK UPDATE: We haven't sent out any email updates yet this year, so we thought we should take this opportunity to let you know that, according to County Planner Rob Peters, the San Stino's Mill Creek project is currently on hold. That means it could start moving forward again at any time.

SAVE THE DATE: The Dixon Ranch project is scheduled for a Board of Supervisors hearing on February 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Please attend! This project parallels the San Stino's Mill Creek project, so we want to ensure that the County follows environmental law and Measure E. A separate email will follow soon.

Please stay engaged and connected to our community. The developers hope that we will become complacent and not be ready for action when their projects move forward. Shingle Springs is a wonderful place to live and we must be prepared to protect our quality of life.

Thank you!
