Shingle Springs Community Region Line will be on May 7 Board Agenda - Please attend

Post date: Apr 30, 2013 9:18:59 PM

Dear Shingle Springs residents and supporters,

Thank you for making all those phone calls and sending all those emails about removing the Community Region Line from Shingle Springs. Once again our voices have been heard and Supervisor Nutting has agreed to put the item on the May 7th Board Agenda. If you haven't had a chance yet, please send in your email or make a call to show your support for removing the Community Region Line.

What does this mean? As you may or may not know, the Board can only talk as a group at public Board meetings. This is due to Brown Act rules. By putting the item on the agenda, Supervisor Nutting has given the Board the opportunity to discuss Joel Ellinwood’s April 25 letter and decide how they would like to proceed with the process of removing the Community Region Line from Shingle Springs.

With that said, please mark your calendar to attend the May 7th BOS meeting. This will be another opportunity for us, the community, to make comments and help the Board understand why this is in the best interest of the people. We are part of the process, and we must stay engaged in the process to get the desired results for our future.

The Board agendas are posted online on Thursday evenings or Friday mornings. You can check for it online at http://eldorado.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx We will also do our best to send it out as soon as we see it posted online.

Again, thank you for your vigilance and support of our community’s mission to keep Shingle Springs rural.
