Dear Shingle Springs residents and rural lifestyle supporters,
The ballots are in your mailboxes and it's time to make a choice for the next District 4 Supervisor since Lori Parlin is terming out.
We support Greg Clark and here's why:
Greg grew up and is raising his family here in El Dorado County, so he shares our culture and love for this beautiful place we call home.
Greg is currently the President of the Gold Trail Unified School District board, so he is already an elected official and has the skills it takes to successfully function on a board, including the budget process. Additionally, Greg is an attorney, and those skills will help him navigate difficult situations and the complexities of working with other board members to get the job done. We are appreciative that Greg is committed to protecting the rural character of our county and will step back from his local law firm to give the Board of Supervisors his full attention.
Greg has not and will not take developer funds or support: https://youtube.com/shorts/EtsIsr6j0Ww
Here is a video clip of Greg in his own words why he is the best candidate for the job: https://youtu.be/VBvTERKhfBs
It is concerning that Gina Posey said at candidate forums that she did not interview with the Builders Industry Association (BIA) because they are a developer group. However, she interviewed and accepted the endorsement from the El Dorado County Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) whose board includes Kirk Bone from Parker Development (Serrano and the proposed Marble Valley). Keep in mind that the PAC is primarily funded by developers and is a separate organization from the Chamber. The PAC has endorsed both Ted Gaines and Gina Posey and donated $500 to each of their campaigns. Lastly, the PAC historically sends out last minute, expensive mailers for their candidate choices.
We do not support Ted Gaines due to his pro-development record from when he was a Placer County Supervisor in the early 2000's and his current and past donations from special interests. Ted has also refused to attend most of the local candidate forums, which is another red flag.
Regardless of who you choose to support, please remember to vote by June 2!
