Tilden Park project Open House 11-28-18

Dear Shingle Springs residents and rural lifestyle supporters,

The County Planning staff has rejected citizen requests for a change of date and venue for the Tilden Park Project Open House. However, staff states that the Applicant is amenable to discussing requests to extend the deadline for comments on topics to be addressed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) at the Open House.

The Open House is a good time to ask questions about the negative impacts about the project and how the County staff intends for the Applicant to mitigate those impacts, if the project is approved. You should also submit your questions in writing so that they are included in the scope of the EIR and addressed in the Draft EIR (DEIR). You will then have an opportunity to provide comments on the DEIR when it is published.

Additionally, this is an opportunity to let staff know that future meetings should be held at a venue near the project site and not during major holidays so that the community can give its full attention to a project of this magnitude.

Remember, at this time the deadline to submit comments on the scope of the DEIR is December 15, 2018. Comments are to be sent to:
