Shingle Springs Community Advisory Group Volunteers Needed
Greetings Shingle Springs residents and rural lifestyle supporters,
El Dorado County is seeking volunteers for the Shingle Springs Community Advisory Group. This group will provide needed input in the development of commercial and multi-family residential design standards for the Shingle Springs Community. To be a part of this Advisory Group, the County is accepting applications through 5:00 P.M. on Friday September 13, 2019.

(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County is now accepting applications from residents, business owners and others who are interested in being part of a Community Advisory Group that will provide input in the development of commercial and multi-family residential design standards for the Shingle Springs community.
The final design standards will be presented to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for adoption at the end of the anticipated three-year planning process and will streamline the process for future new commercial and multi-family residential development that meets the design standards requirements.
“This community planning effort was made possible by support from the Board of Supervisors in approving $250,000 to fund the effort”, noted Tiffany Schmid, Director of the Planning and Building Department. “The Shingle Springs Community Alliance has been instrumental in driving this effort, and we appreciate its input.”
The Community Advisory Group will be comprised of 8-12 people representing diverse viewpoints within the Shingle Springs community including residents, local business owners, Chamber of Commerce, real estate brokers, development professionals, and land owners. Meetings are expected to be held in October 2019, April 2020, August 2020 and May 2021.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in shaping how the Shingle Springs community will look in years to come,” said Schmid.
Applications will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 and are available on the County website at: Community-Based Planning.
