FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

URBAN OR RURAL? COMMUNITY MEETING TO GATHER INPUT TO PLAN FOR SHINGLE SPRINGS

SHINGLE SPRINGS, California (May 25, 2013)

The Shingle Springs Community Alliance, No San Stino, and Stop Tilden Park organizations are holding a Community Meeting to gather input from residents, landowners, business owners, and all those advocating for the future of Shingle Springs.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at Discovery Hills Church, 4270 Shingle Springs Drive, Shingle Springs, next to Buckeye Elementary School. To accommodate people who are home during the day and people who work during the day, two identical sessions will be available for attendees: Session 1 at 4:00pm and Session 2 at 7:00pm. Please note that Discovery Hills Church is not affiliated with the sponsoring organizations.

The Shingle Springs Area Plan (SSAP) was created in 1977 with input from the Shingle Springs community. Shingle Springs Community Alliance is working to update the 1977 SSAP to advocate for the preservation and enhancement of our lifestyle of a peaceful country community with ranches and homes on acreage for generations to come.

Please attend this important meeting. Your participation is vital. There will be a short presentation about what is happening with land use in Shingle Springs. The presentation will be followed by stations so you can learn about and contribute to our efforts. Attendees will be given the opportunity to complete surveys to provide input into updating the Community Area Plan.
