Please attend 8/5/14 Board Meeting at 9:00am

Thank you for all of your emails and phone calls to the Board of Supervisors over the past couple of days.

As of 6:00pm on Monday, August 4th, we have not heard from any of the Supervisors that the Reinstate Measure Y (yellow) petition will be on the Tuesday, August 5 agenda.

We have been told that if it is a time sensitive, emergency item, then the Supervisors can vote to put it on the agenda immediately. However, to qualify as an emergency item, there has to be something about the item that was unknown at the time the agenda was posted.

When the agenda was posted on Friday, August 1, the initiative proponents did not know that Supervisor Brigg's son, Alex Briggs, was a consultant for the Region Builders/Fix Local Roads initiative, and was in the Board room during the meeting on July 29. The question has been raised: Why didn't Supervisor Briggs recuse himself from voting on this initiative that is in direct competition with his son's initiative? Another question has been raised: Why didn't Jim Moore divulge that he has worked for Region Builders as a pollster?

Please attend the Tuesday Board of Supervisors meeting and raise these questions and push to have this initiative put on the agenda as an emergency item.

Please attend:

Board of Supervisors Meeting

Tuesday, August 5, Open Forum, 9:00am

Building A, 330 Fair Lane Drive

Placerville, CA 95667

Another good question to ask is: Why was the Reinstate Measure Y (yellow) initiative singled out from the rest of the initiatives?

Thank you!
