Action Alert! Meetings regarding Tribal Gas Station

Post date: Sep 30, 2015 10:24:02 PM

Dear Shingle Springs residents and rural lifestyle supporters,

Our last email about the Gas Station project explained that the Board of Supervisors (BOS) continued their 9-15-15 agenda item so that they could get more information about the Tribal Council's Gas Station project before making any decisions. The meeting was continued to October 6, and it is important that we once again show up to tell the BOS that we need them to do whatever is necessary to stop this type of incompatible development in our rural neighborhoods.

Please attend:

Board of Supervisors meeting

Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm

(agenda posted at https://eldorado.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx)

330 Fair Lane, Building A

Placerville, CA

On Monday, September 28, we were notified that, after months in the planning phase and the recent continuation by the BOS due to lack of transparency, the Tribal Council has decided to have a community meeting with the hopes of meeting the outreach expectation of our BOS and our community. The project being addressed is a 12-pump gas station, mini mart, and car wash. They are also proposing a sewer line and a 12-inch water line to allow for future large-scale commercial operations.

If you have concerns about this project and compatibility issues feel free to attend the Tribal meeting, but also communicate those concerns to the BOS before their meeting next Tuesday on October 6.

The Tribal Council will answer questions at a meeting (click here for flyer -https://drive.google.com/…/0B6SYfsvp_87XNEdidlQtbkhBW…/view…):

Friday, October 2, at 6:30 pm

Discovery Hills Church

4270 Shingle Springs Drive, Shingle Springs

The Tribal Council was asked to put information about their project on their website. At this time, the information on the website is incomplete, so we are unable to give you a link to more information.

If you cannot attend the meeting but want to voice your concerns to the Board of Supervisors, please use this contact information:
