Beware of the Developer Initiative - Sign the local petitions by May 1st

Post date: Apr 7, 2014 5:37:25 AM

The Developer backed initiative is out on the street. The Developers have out-of-county money and backers paying professional signature gatherers that are flooding the area asking for signatures. We do not recommend signing this petition as its sole purpose is to undo all we (residents, rural supporters, Shingle Springs Community Alliance, No San Stino, Stop Tilden Park, Save Our County, Residents Involved in Positive Planning, and Green Valley Alliance) have worked hard to do, which is to allow controlled and responsible growth within our county and maintain the rural character of our area.

We recommend you sign the 4 local initiatives (green, yellow, purple and blue) and get them on the November ballot.

Please know that if the Developer initiative (white and pink) is to get on the ballot and pass in November:

1) it would actively encourage projects like San Stino, Tilden Park, and Dixon Ranch;

2) if it garners more votes in November, it will cancel out the initiatives put forth by El Dorado County residents.

With your help we will gather enough signatures to put the local initiatives on the November ballot.

Here is where you can find the 1-2-3 petitions to sign them: www.LVC-EDC.org/where-to-sign
